The best time to begin the process is in autumn. To ensure your soil is at its best, mix in multipurpose compost using a rake, or alternatively, use a soil improver. Tread on the soil firmly to remove any air pockets and create a firm surface
Sowing the Seeds
Sow seeds around half an inch deep, seeds should be spaced five to six inches apart. Once the cabbages become around 7cm high, they are ready for transplanting. Ensure the plant is watered before moving, and kept well watered until established
After Care
Always ensure the water in the soil is well drained throughout the growth of you're cabbages to avoid over watering
Harvesting
You're cabbages will be ready to harvest in summer time. Alway cut close to the ground with a sharp knife and lift the entire plant to reduce the risk of club root.
