Rope, 2 x Hooks and 2 x Screws

First off you’re going to want to decide where you actually want to place your washing line, pick a suitable place with easy access, measure the walls to see how long and how thick you are going to want the rope ensure you also measure the height of the wall to find the position of the hooks

The Hooks

Next you will need to place the hooks according to the measurements taken, drill a hole into the wall and screw in the first hook. When drilling you need to hold the drill firmly, wearing the proper safety gear, gloves can help against the movement of the drill, goggles and ear protection can help against any other hazards such as noises and chippings. (You may also want a dust mask dependant on what material you are drilling into.) After the first hook has been placed you will need to place the 2nd one in an exact opposition to the previous hook so they’re parallel. Make sure to tighten the screws as much as possible so the hooks don’t fall off.

Placing of the rope

Now our two hooks have been placed properly, you are ready to tightly tie the rope around both hooks, if the rope is too long you can make any adjustments as long as it can still reach the two hooks. To make any adjustments to the hooks simply unscrew, drill another hole and screw them in.
