Remove your shower head. You will probably notice the visible white deposits which can be worse in hard water areas. If possible, remove the cover from the shower head. This will making soaking and cleaning it easier but is not essential.
Soak
Fill a bowl with white vinegar and submerge the shower head into it. Be careful to avoid spilling over the top if you overfill the bowl.
Scrub
After soaking for about 15 or 20 minutes, use an old toothbrush to scrub the head. If necessary, place it back into the vinegar and allow to soak for longer.
Replace the Shower Head
Once clean, replace the shower head and run hot water to flush it through.
