Tools Required

A Drill and a Screwdriver.

Materials Required

Screws and a Continuous Circuit (Alternative: Loop).

Installing the Alarm Box

Install the alarm box. This is the component on the system that produces the loud noise if your alarm is triggered. The alarm box should be placed somewhere that it can be heard effectively. Place the box high on a wall to avoid it being tampered with.

Placing the Sensors

Decide upon a location for your sensors, the most obvious locations will be on any entry doors. Other positions could include windows which provide access to the house. A often forgotten about position is the garage. To install the sensors you may need to drill into surfaces.

Installing the Sensors

Connect the sensors to the alarm box you previously installed, ensure that the wires are out of view. Instead of attaching each wire individually connect them into a continuous circuit or a loop.

Installing the Control Panel

Wire the control panel into position once all of the sensors have been connected to the circuit. The control panel will be best positioned by the most used entry door. This can be hidden dependant on your preference however ensure all key holders know its location.
