How to bolt a safe to the floor
Pages: 1 All

Tools Needed

Pencil, Drill, Hammer or Wrench

Positioning the Safe

Put the safe in the exact position where you intend to bolt it to the floor, look inside of the safe and locate the mounting holes that go through the surface of the safe. Mark the holes with a pen or pencil.

Drilling the Holes

Remove the safe from the position, use the studs provided by the safe manufacturer. Drill the holes vertically where you previously marked using the appropriate drill bit.

Inserting the Studs

Once you have drilled the holes, depending on your surface pound the stud into the concrete with a hammer, or use a wrench to screw the wood stud into the floor. Ensure the studs are entered vertically.

Screwing in the Safe

Place the safe over the studs so the studs protrude into the mounting holes located on the safe. Attach the nuts to the studs to tighten and secure the safe so it cannot be moved.
