Determine where you want your hinges to be positioned, this will determine which way your door will open. Remove the hinge pin before you begin to install the hinge.
Marking the Holes
Place the upper hinge six inches from the top of the door, and the bottom hinge ten inches above the bottom. Place the hinges on the door and mark the holes onto the door and frame using a pencil.
Installing the Hinge
Drill the holes into the markings you have just positioned, fix your hinges to the door and frame.
