The recommended solution, is to use a steam powered wallpaper stripper. Before you can begin, you must ensure there is plenty of ventilation. Cover the floor in sheets to avoid any damage to carpets or furniture.
Before you begin, equip safety gloves and headgear. This is a messy job so we also recommend using old clothing.
Steaming the Artex
When you steam the artex you will be able to peel and chip away large chunks at a time, this can be placed in a disposable sack by hand.
Finishing the Job
When you have removed the majority of the artex, we recommend giving the wall a final rub down with a coarse of wet and dry glass paper, this will ensure a smooth surface which is ready for any decorative adjustments.
