How to mix up plaster
Pages: 1 All

Tools needed

Mixing Bucket, Standard Bucket x 2, Mixing Drill, Bucket Trowel.

Materials needed

Plaster, Fresh Water.

Step 1 : Fill Your Bucket With Water

Once you’ve worked out how much plaster you need, fill your mixing bucket accordingly. Bear in mind that once your plaster is mixed, the mass (from just water) normally doubles, so don’t overfill your bucket with too much water.

Step 2 : Mixing The Plaster

Make sure the paddle on your mixing drill is inside the bucket and slowly pour your plaster in, try and get somebody to help you with this. Keep spinning your paddle and pouring. Once you’re nearly at the required consistency, (which should be not too runny and not to thick), you should take your bucket trowel and scoop it around on the inside removing any powder stuck on the bucket and put back into the mix. Now spin for the final time making sure you're lump free.
