Screwdriver, Bucket (Alternative: Cup), Wire (Alternative: Coat hanger), Drain Plug (Alternative: Rag) and a Pot.
Materials Required
Baking Soda, Vinegar and a Water Supply.
Empty the Shower
Remove as much water as you possibly can from the shower tub or floor. If it will not go down the drain, use a bucket or cup to scoop the water out manually.
Take off the Catcher
Remove the catcher that covers your drain, dependant on the model they are all removed differently, it will most likely be screwed off, or just pried off.
Removing the Debris
Remove as much of the visible debris as you can. Use a straightened wire or coat hanger in the drain to remove any hair or debris that you can.
Cleaning the Drain
Pour around 200ml of baking soda down the drain gradually. Once completed, repeat the process using 150ml of vinegar instead. Once you have poured both products, immediately cover the hole. The mixture of chemicals will cause a eruptive reaction so ensure the plug is completely blocked using a plug. Leave the mixture in the drain for approximately 45 minutes.
Wash the Drain Out
Whilst waiting for the baking soda and vinegar to settle, boil a large pot of water. Once the 45 minutes has passed, open the drain and pour the water down slowly. If your drain is still clogged, repeat this process again.
